The Challenge
The problem with many online learning platforms is their passive, one-size-fits-all approach, leading to high drop-off rates. The challenge was designing a system that adapted to the user. If a user struggled with a module, the system needed to detect that and offer supplementary resources rather than letting them fail.
The Solution
The backend logic evaluates user performance in real-time based on quiz scores and time-spent metrics. If a user's performance on a module drops below a certain threshold, the system's adaptive recommendation engine dynamically suggests prerequisite or reinforcement modules, creating a personalized learning path.
