A digital sanctuary concept for mental wellness. Serenity offers guided meditations, ambient soundscapes, and breathing exercises in a minimalist, calming interface.
A Progressive Web App (PWA) with a custom audio engine built on the Web Audio API. This allows for advanced audio features like gapless looping of soundscapes and offline access to meditation tracks for an uninterrupted user experience.
The Challenge
The challenge was sensory and technical: how do you design a UI that feels calm and non-intrusive? Furthermore, how do you ensure seamless, gapless audio playback for looping soundscapes, which is critical for maintaining an immersive meditative state?
The Solution
The design adheres to strict color theory principles, using a muted, analogous color palette proven to lower heart rate. For the audio, a custom audio engine was built using the Web Audio API. It pre-fetches and buffers audio tracks, enabling 'gapless looping' to provide a continuous, unbroken soundscape for the user.
